![]() ![]() Never mind the fact that the phone was turned on vibrate and that he only viewed his phone for several seconds, plus we were sitting in a corner far off away from everyone else. Instead we were stereotyped and treated like we've done something terribly wrong based on a complaint by a narrow minded older couple who complained about my colleague's phone screen being too bright while viewing an incoming phone call. My colleague and I set out to enjoy a nice movie and drinks on New Years Day 2017. We were really not happy with the service or food quality on this visit - realize it was the first showing of the day, but we should still be provided the level of service we expect - this is not a cheap place to go for a movie! Movie House and Eatery just opened up on 121, I think we'll try that and see how it compares before heading back to the iPic.Beware people of color, this establishment at this particular location does not want your business. Brought the popcorn out probably 5 minutes after that, well after the movie had started. We finally got our drinks and food at the same time, around when the movie started. They did run some previews eventually, but never did do their normal Sherry and company presentation. Waited several minutes until we finally had a server come up - ordered our drinks and food. Nothing was playing on the screen and usually they would be running the information about the food for that month, Sherry would be speaking with guest chef, etc. We got there around noon, place was a ghost town. However, we were very disappointed when we went this past Sunday for the 12:20 showing of Sing. We like the reserved seating, good food, complimentary popcorn, etc. Over the last few years, this has become our primary theater. Their prices are very high especially when you think about an Alamo Drafthouse or Look, but at least the popcorn is getting better! I will go back with my handsome love, but then again I’d go anywhere with him! I think they still just scoop it out of bags but what do you do. Popcorn is actually very good now too, but still wish they could add butter. The popcorn alone used to be dreadful and that’s a statement coming from a popcorn lover! Until recently it was super convenient to home but now with another place we like better being just as close if not closer…well… but I do have to say that the food is really quite good! Their burgers are very good and their fries as well. Nom: I think my handsome love it right! The experience at iPic has very much improved since a couple of years ago. ![]() I’ll go back with my wonderful Nom, it’s just not our primary theater because of the seating price. The food is above average though, my favorite is the truffle fries, comparable to what you might get at a steakhouse. At $18.50 per ticket for the reclining seats, it’s the most expensive theater that I’ve been to for seating. The main gripe that I continue to have is that the cost of tickets is just way too high, especially when compared to similar theaters. Decent location in Fairview, even though businesses seem to leave every few months, but you can find something else to do in the area before or after the movie. ![]() Ipic is a luxury theater that serves tableside food, recliners, small-ish theaters for a more intimate setting, and blankets to cover up if you get too cold. Om: I do believe that the experience has gotten better since our last review in 2015 – better service, theaters seemed cleaner, and even the popcorn tasted better than what I remember. We went to go see Passengers with some gift cards we had at Ipic! ![]()
